I like big bags and I cannot lie

I really love big bags. I've always been one to carry around a lot of things when I go out. I dunno, I feel like I always have to be prepared for those 'just-in-case' situations. To list what I normally have in my bag:
- my wallet
- my card case
- 2 pencil cases. YES. I have two -- one for pens, pencils, highlighters and the other one for my fine tipped colored pens
- a bottle of perfume
- makeup bag
- emergency kit--which contains band-aids, sanitary napkins, medicines, wet wipes, fem wipes
- bag organizer--this contains my cellphones (I have three...don't ask why), two small notebooks, post-it pads, empty envelopes,
- my planner

Yeah yeah, I bring around A LOT of stuff. To each his (or her) own :) I'll devote an entry about my bag's contents tomorrow. I know it's weird that I have a lot of things in my bag, but I feel like I always need to be prepared for whatever situation. I wish my bag was like Mary Poppin's so I could just dump my entire room in it.

For Christmas, my parents got me this gorgeous gorgeous goooooooorgeous bag from Zara. Well, we bought it a month before Christmas and I had to pretend to be surprised when I got it (for photo-op's sake). I love it because a) it's BIG; b) it's made of real leather; c) the bag's so chic; d) it's a statement piece. A few of my friends are coveting it already so I'm trying to keep it from prying hands ;)

current frustrations

1. Forever 21 just opened in Manila. There's an ongoing sale in Mango AND Zara. I have money, but I don't want to spend it. Boo.

2. I'm tracking how I've been spending my money. I'm afraid that after this week, I'll feel bad and get mad at myself for being such an impulsive spender. I've been planning on opening two more bank accounts, plus another account with my insurance (more on forced savings, actually). The reality of adult life...sucks. I'm trying to look at it positively, i.e. I guess I'm being financially responsible (I think).

3. No replies yet from my job applications. I guess I still have a purpose here in my current job. Maybe I'm being taught some sort of life lesson. But mark my words, I WILL get a job that's related to my one true love: Development. *crossing my fingers for Asia Foundation*

4. There's this guy that I really like now. We're really close. He's a great friend. He's also cute, not my type of cute though. But....he's gay. Why is it that I fall for the guys who are seemingly gay or are really gay? There's something off with my taste in men. Sheesh.

5. I'm having a hard time organizing a group for a foodie trip I'm planning to Bale Dutung, Pampanga. It's said to be one of the best foodie experiences you'll have here since it's hosted by renowned Chef Claude Tayag and his wife Ms. Mary Ann. My lovely godsister Tippy was able to go there with her family and their friends.

So there, I'm done (semi) ranting. Hopefully I'll be able to post something 'happier' later this day. After work.

-untitled-

Too lazy to think of an entry title.

Again, I'll be going on about random stuff....and here I go...

I'm slowly seeing myself staying with my company for a while...depends on whether the promised improvements will be fulfilled, but as of now I'm quite positive about the changes that'll come next year. Oh God...I hope they didn't forget about my promotion *fingers crossed*

There are just some people you can never be friends with; you can never like. It's better off that you stay away from them as much as possible. Having common friends isn't a reason for you to also be friends with them.

Went to the bookstore this afternoon. Though I love fashion and I was really hoping the October issue of Preview or Mega was already delivered (good thing there weren't any), I couldn't resist buying the October 5 issue of The Economist. There's an article about the boom of the telecommunications industry in developing countries and I figured that'd be useful for work. Yes, I'm a dork.

I FINALLY bought the pair of Zara boots I've been drooling over for the past month. I have yet to post a picture of it..maybe tomorrow. Since it started raining again (God when will this end??), tomorrow would be a great day for me to wear my new booties :)

Now, I'm actually obsessing over a pair of torn up Vintage Boyfriend jeans from Topshop. There are actually a lot of nice stuff at Topshop now, also at Zara. There's this dress from Mango I've been wanting to buy for the past month and a half already...am just waiting for it to go on sale because though I do spend my hard-earned moolah on clothes, I won't go crazy spending a portion of it on just one item. And yeah, I have to lose a bit of weight first before I can wear that dress which is also why I haven't bought it yet. Haha!

I almost forgot about the bazaars I'm joining! I have to fix everything so that I wouldn't be all over the place--with work and other stuff--next month. Peak season for research starting the 3rd quarter so yeah, I haven't been getting a lot of sleep and personal time off from work. The past two weeks, though, I got a bit sick so I was able to stay home...still did stuff for work, but at least I wasn't stuck at the office.

So....when?
